Everything began with one idea I wanted people to stop smoking. My grandfather had irreversible bronchial issues due to long time smoking, and this has made a great impression on me. Thus, I wanted this box to be the last box that a smoker will buy, and a new beginning and goodbye at the same time. The title of this work is HOT BOX, and this title reflects my personal wish to give a particular meaning to objects in the course of the design. I have decided to mix two opposite materials in order to represent the most crucial choices and changes in the life of a smoker. The piece has the production process and its final form as illustrated below.
