Slowly Drifting
Slowly Drifting is a small-scale functional object designed to explore how automotive motion and mechanical tension can be translated into a compact, desk-scale product.
The project focuses on form balance, structural clarity, and manufacturable geometry, using parametric CAD workflows to investigate how motion-inspired design can exist in a static, everyday object.
The concept draws inspiration from late-night drifting culture and the sensation of controlled instability—where precision and loss of traction coexist.
Rather than directly representing cars, the design abstracts these qualities into proportion, surface tension, and mechanical expression.
